The Chicago Clubs are a glolf club hailing from Chicago. They are considered a cursed team, and currently carry the Curse of the Silly Goat.

History

For many decades in glolf's early history, the Chicago Clubs were dominant; the Clubs consistently won any tournament they entered, rose to the top of any league they joined, and developing a reputation for clutch performances in high-pressure situations.

Circumstances changed rapidly when reports leaked that the Chicago Clubs, Chicago's beloved hometown team, were considering relocating to Madison, Wisconsin. This came as a huge shock to the Clubs fan base. Clubs fans were widely known as diehard, loyal fans who would show up for glolf matches even in driving snow or howling wind. Clubs fans were understandably upset by the revelations, and in a famous incident, a famous Clubs fan named Silly Goat used salt to perform a ritual in which they placed a curse on the team.

Initially, the ceremony and the curse were laughed off by the Clubs glolfers. The Chicago Clubs went on to win the very tournament where the curse had been placed on the team. However, the outcome of the tournament was subsequently overturned when it was revealed that the Chicago Clubs were using cork-filled glolf balls. Silly Goat was vindicated, and the era of the Curse of the Silly Goat began.

To this day, Chicago Clubs fans will take up chants of "BLAME MADISON" or "DOWN WITH MADISON" during glolf tournaments.

The Curse of the Silly Goat is considered a Class 7 curse.
